This guide provides career resources for library professionals.  It includes tips from deciding on a career path to negotiating a salary once a job offer has been made.

The ALA New Members Round Table Resume Review Service offers several resources to career seekers ranging from job search advice to how to negotiate for a salary.

The United States Government also offers several tips and suggestions for finding and evaluating jobs, interview techniques, etc. in the Occupational Outlook Handbook.

It is important to stay informed on current developments in the field.  It will help you come up with relevant things to talk about in networking situations or during interviews.  Library publications also frequently have articles about career development.  Some important publications are listed below.
