Finding Books

Library Catalog
Catalog of materials here in The University Libraries or available electronically. NOTE: We are in the process of moving to another catalog "system". Please come and ask if you have any questions !!

Here is a GREAT GUIDE to using the new catalog: WorldCat Local/New Search which explains many of the new features we now have.

A database listing books, manuscripts, films, etc. from libraries all over the United States and some foreign countries.  Great for locating items UNCG does not have.

Other Research Guides to Consult for IGS Research !!

Here are some possible guides which could assist you in your research. Others, like Anthropology and Languages, Literatures and Cultures can be found on the "Research Guides" page.

Finding Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers

To get into a specific journal, magazine, or newspaper:

1. You can search worldcat for the journal title. Limit to UNCG and Journal, magazine

2. You can search journal title in the Journal A to Z list

Please note that some journals, magazines, and newspapers have changed names over time.  If you want to find the evening edition of the Greensboro newspaper from 1910, type the title from that time: Greensboro Record.
