Welcome to a guide for liberal studies students  - both BLS and MALS - where you can find research help, guides & tutorials and services from your library.  Let me know if you need specific help or think it missing a resoure or tool! One this guide you will find... 

  • on this tab/page, links to any course specific guides (upper left side box), tools like our assignment calculator or journal alerts (bottom left side); a fun video about the library and  info on the library's online workshops with recordings (center below) and on the right contact info if you need more specific help
  • click on the Finding Articles tab above this box to find key databases to search for journal articles, journal finder to see if we have access to a specific journal and tutorials to help you with your research. 
  • click on the Finding Books tab above this box to find books UNCG libraries own or how to get a book we do not own as well as finding online books and tutorials to guide you. 
  • click on either MLA Style tab or Chicago style tab to get help with citing your sources and writing bibliographies.

Online Workshops

The University Libraries offer online workshops on various topics. They are held in a virtual classroom using  Blackboard Collaborate  which you can access from any computer using headset mic combo. Some sessions are for specific groups and some are open to all. Some workshops require RSVP and some do not. See the calendar below and visit web page for details, tech help, and how to sign up
